Every year, CFC helps thousands of Greater Clevelanders—children, youth, families
and individuals—to positively address the multiple challenges in their lives.
Our dedicated staff of close to 300 accomplishes this by delivering exceptional
human services to our consumers, one person at a time.

Services to Children and Youth
Our five child care centers provide families with high quality educational programs. Each site successfully achieved Step Up to Quality ratings, with four sites receiving the highest rating of three stars and a two-star rating for the fifth.

Alcohol and other drug prevention services are provided at the RapArt Center, as well as in 30 schools from five area school systems. Programs incorporate the use of the arts and are designed to help young people build the skills they need to make healthy, positive life choices.

CFC is the lead agency in a partnership with the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Neighborhood Collaborative to provide the Family to Family Initiative. Together with the Cuyahoga County Department of Children and Family Services, the Family to Family Initiative serves families and children who are in—or are at risk of involvement with—the public system to help ensure the safety and well-being of children and promote family stability.

Services to Parents and Adults
The Center for Families and Children is one of the largest providers of Behavioral Health Services to the Greater Cleveland community. Our programs include adult out-patient mental health and community support services, family and individual counseling and psychiatric and nursing services. Our community-based services help adults overcome barriers to independent functioning in the community.

CFC's three distinct re-entry services—Children of Incarcerated Parents, Returning Home and the Women’s Circle of Support Network—support incarcerated parents as they transition back into the community and reunify with their families. Services are designed to reduce the likelihood of recidivism for the parent and break the cycle of incarceration for children.

Services and activities provided by the Fathers and Families Together (FAFT) program provide educational opportunities and family-focused activities for men and their children.

Since 2006, case management services have been provided in collaboration with National Church Residences to families residing in Summerwood Commons, a private residential community, through the Summerwood Commons Support Office.

EASE@Work offer employee assistance services to over 130 Ohio-based employers, including corporations, universities, primary school systems, labor unions, nonprofit organizations and county and municipal government employers.
